BEGINNINGS
When we traced our roots and realized that we came from a history of powerful, evangelical expression, we acquired a sense of completeness, wholeness, and connectedness. Past spiritual linkage provides an anointing flow from our ancestors, into the future growth of our Church. The Church’s stability is also nurtured by its present affiliations and accountability with the other ministries mentioned. Of course, in the final analysis, we are all connected to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We accept the words of Jesus: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5.

Daniel Chan’s pastor in Singapore was Rev. Russell Paul Rothgeb, a convert of Aimee Semple McPherson (1890-1944), founder of the Four Square Church. Rev. Rothgeb later traveled with Dr. Charles S. Price (1887-1947) the famous faith-healing evangelist for many years before he went to Singapore with his wife, Willie, as missionaries. They founded Revival Center Church in Singapore in September, 1953. Rev. Rothgeb pastored Revival Center Church, from 1953 to May 1960. Before he retired to Ouray, Colorado, he appointed Daniel Chan to take over the work as Senior Pastor. Pastor Dan assumed leadership of Revival Center Church from June 1960 to October 1961 and 1964 to 1965 before he left for California to pursue further studies. The church in Singapore is presently pastored by Rev. Tony Tan (a product of Revival Center Church).
